How a clerk/non-barrister can create a diary booking in BarBooks for Chambers
The guide and video below, will walk you through how to create a Diary booking, navigate the different diary views and navigate the Bookings tab.- Navigate to the “Diaries” tab on the side bar.
- As a clerk you will be able to see everyone’s Diary including your own.
- You can switch between Barristers Diary’s, Non-Barristers Diary’s and your own.
- Each booking type has its own specific colour coding as detailed above.
- Click on a specific day to bring up a more detailed Day View.
- Click on the “Filter” button to further define your Diary view.
- Use the toggles to alter the date range and view.
- You can share the available barristers profiles by selecting the relevant tick-boxes on the left hand side and clicking "Copy selected profile"- You will now be able to paste their profiles into an email.
- To Create a diary booking Click on “New Booking”.
- Select the Type of Booking you want to create.
- You are able to create a new Matter through the Matter Booking option by selecting the "New Matter" tick-box.
- Enter in the necessary information.
- Click “Create”.
- A “Matter Booking” will be linked to a Matter and appear within the Bookings sub tab within the Matter.
- “Matter Bookings” , might will also need to be Accepted or Rejected by each participant depending on your settings.
- A Diary Booking can also be created by clicking on the appropriate day and Selecting “New Booking”.
- You are also able to see a List-View of all Bookings created by navigating to the Bookings tab on the side bar.
