How barristers can create a to-do item in BarBooks for Chambers
The guide and video below, will walk you through how to a To-Do item, action the item and mark it as done.
- Navigate to the "To-Do" tab on the side bar.
- Click “New To Do”.
- Enter in the necessary information.
- You can assign the item to the relevant parties.
- Click "Create".
- The To-Do item will now appear at the top of the list and indicate who it was created by and who it was assigned to.
- To edit the item click on the pencil icon in line with the relevant item.
- To mark the item as done select the tick box next to the relevant item.
- Select “Mark as Done”.
- Select "Confirm".
- As a Barrister, for items where a clerk has requested for you to approve an invoice an eye icon will also appear.
- Click on the eye icon in line with the relevant item.
- Select “Review Invoice”.
- This will direct you to the relevant Invoice.
- Click "Actions".
- Select "Approve Invoice".
- Select "Confirm".
- The Invoice will now be converted from "Pending for Approval" to "Unpaid".
