How to upload a document to a matter (Non-barrister)

How a clerk/non-barrister can upload a document to a matter in BarBooks for Chambers

The guide and video below, will walk you through how to upload a document to a Matter and generate Matter related documents.  

  1. Navigate to the "Matters" tab on the side bar. 
  2. Select the relevant Matter.
  3. Click on the "Documents" sub tab. 
  4. Click “New Document”.
  5. Select “Upload Document”.
  6. Upload or drag and drop the relevant document.
  7. Click "Confirm".
  8. To generate a Matter related document, Click “New Document”.
  9. Select the relevant option. Eg. Matter Activity Statement, Contracts etc 
  10. Fill in the necessary information.
  11. Click "Confirm".
  12. The document will now appear in the documents sub tab within the Matter. 
  13. To email or download any document, select the relevant tick box or click on the ellipses in line with the document on the far right and select the relevant option.
