The guide below, will walk you through how to request to issue an Invoice and send a notification to your Clerks advising them to bill a Matter.
1. Click on the “Quick Actions” button at the top of the screen.
2. Select "Request To Issue Invoice"
3. This will bring up essentially an Unbilled Work report detailing the name of the Matter
and the Unbilled Work value within each Matter.
4. You have 2 options here.
5. Click "Request Invoice" inline with the relevant Matter to send a generic notification
to your clerks to the bill the Matter. It will automatically include all unbilled
Tasks/Expenses within that Matter. Alternatively, click "Edit" inline with the
relevant Matter to provide the clerks with more information.
6. Once you have clicked Edit, follow each stage of the graph that appears.
7. Select the relevant Tasks you want to be included in the Invoice. Should you notice
any errors in the Tasks, click on the ellipses and select "Edit" to make any
amendments.
8. Follow the same process for Allowances and Expenses.
9. In the Notes section provide your clerks with any notes regarding billing this case.
Click "Upload Document" to pass any documents onto your clerks. This could
include timesheets, copies of the receipts of your Expenses etc etc.
10. In the Summary section, you will see a breakdown of all the Tasks, Allowances and
Expenses to be included in the Invoice as well as the relevant Totals.
11. Select "Send Request". This will then send a more detailed notification to your
clerks and request for them to issue an Invoice for this Matter.
